Hoover Dam

Day 11

We drove to Hoover Dam which was about 40 minutes from our fancy Vegas campsite. The dam was huge! I'm surprised my mom actually went out on it, because we were so high up that even I was scared! We stood on the state line between Nevada and Arizona to take a picture, and then we went to watch a video about the history of the dam. After the video Dad, Chandler, and I went down into the power plant inside the dam. My dad was fascinated by it (sort of an occupational thing for him) and I was sweating profusely which made it hard to enjoy anything. Once the tour was over we met up with the rest of the family in the gift shop. I was disappointed to hear they had gotten ice cream with out us. We headed back to camp to make dinner, chicken kabobs our favorite. To finish the night, we went night swimming. We were all having fun and wrestling until Chandler destroyed his toe on the bottom of the hot tub, it was GROSS.
