Day 21
We left Arizona in the morning to make our next over night stop in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Took us about eight hours, but we finally made it. The best part of the day was getting to go see Dad's cousin David and his wife Jamie and their super cool kids. We had some real New Mexican food, which was pretty spicy, but very delicious. My favorite food we tried was called.... umm i don't remember, but Jamie told me that it is translated into little pillow. They were like little pastries that you are supposed to rip a little piece off of and pour honey inside, super yummy stuff!!! We had an awesome time talking to David and Jamie, telling them about our adventures and learning more about each other. The kids had a blast playing, Peter and Joseph, the baby twins, slept pretty much the entire time we were there so we didn't really get to see them, but Colin and Charlie had a great time playing with Eva and Elijah. We talked for hours, enjoying each other's stories and just catching up. I think the most interesting thing I learned was that Jamie lived in Japan the majority of her childhood, talk about cool!! We parted with sweet sorrow, knowing we would see each other again in a few days at the Voss Family Heritage Days.
