Saturday, July 2 & Sunday, July 3, 2016 Play Day
Saturday we checked out of the Ritz in New York and had breakfast at the corner cafe. The kids had their eyes on a few souvenirs so we took a few minutes to walk over to the shop. Josh wanted us to have the memory of going over the Brooklyn Bridge so on our way back to the RV we had the pleasure of seeing the beautiful city from the bridge. The ride to NJ was rough. Traffic was horrible and the stop and go motions made Charlie and I sick. We stopped at the nearest exit for some rest time. Thank goodness. New Jersey had major flooding and storms the night before so we were pleased to see that the campground was in great shape when we got there. We had the rest of the afternoon to swim and eat a home cooked meal. After supper we had a "Men in Black" movie marathon since the boys noticed the movies took place in Manhattan where we stayed.
Sunday we slept in late and spent a few hours cleaning up and doing laundry. The campground had plenty of activities planned for the day. Charlie and I participated in the water balloon toss. The boys made a few friends and played water wars and swam. We all were exhausted so having this slow moving day was just what the family needed.
