Vosslings Adventure Part 2- Day 17

Day 17

Monday, July 4th, 2016        Happy 4th of July!!!!

Happy 4th of July!!!

Today we decided to go to Atlantic City to celebrate. The fireworks display was scheduled to begin after dark along the beach. We were pretty excited to spend the day on the Atlantic City Boardwalk and beach. When we pulled into the city, the buildings were very colorful and had beautiful architecture, especially the Trump Taj Mahal. We stopped and had a late lunch at LandShark a restaurant on the beach next to Steel Pier Amusement Park. It was a very overcast day but that didn't stop the beachgoers one bit. We cruised the Pier and Boardwalk visiting shops along the way. It really wasn't as crowded as I pictured in my head. The Trump Taj Mahal workers were on strike. Boy were they noisy. The Boardwalk wasn't fast paced at all, unlike New York. We ditched our shoes and headed down to the beach. The boys enjoyed running in and out of the water as we walked down the shoreline. The sand was packed down and had lots of shells. The boys took the time to collect shells for me, they know me so well. Back at the boardwalk we rinsed off and grabbed a few souvenirs. When we walked out of the souvenir shop, it was RAINING! NO!! Rain was in the forecast for the rest of the evening. The fireworks show was still 5 hours away so we decided to call it quits and headed back to the RV. All was not lost, we had a great home cooked dinner and watched a movie in the rain under our canopy.
