Vosslings Adventure Part 2- Day 27

Day 27

Thursday, July 14, 2016        Beach Bummed

Today was our last full day to enjoy the RV Resort. I took a vote and the kids decided to spend the day at the beach. The boys enjoyed riding their boards and searching for sea shells. Colin spent much of his time with his face in the shallow water hunting for the perfect shell. They sure enjoy their time at the beach. Chandler decided to call it quits early and headed back to the RV because he wasn't feeling well. Just as I was getting ready to go check on him, the lemon ice cart girl came over which we had been waiting on for a good while. After our little treat, Carmen kept the boys and I headed over to check on Chandler.

Back at the RV, Chandler was feeling better after getting cleaned up. Josh skipped the beach today to fix a few things on the RV.  When we arrived on Sunday, we found the bike rack had melted into the horizontal position from the heat and RV movement while driving. That was interesting to come across. That was a must fix before we take off tomorrow. While Chandler and I were assisting Josh with the bike rack, his hand slipped and the ratchet nailed him in the nose. Poor guy was a bloody mess. Josh is a tough guy tho. Didn't phase him one bit! He also did some routine maintenance. Gotta love this guys ability to do what you gotta do! As Josh was finishing up, we heard thunder so I ran inside to grab my cell before running down to the beach to get the kids. Just as I was heading out, the kids had just walked up. So glad Carmen knew what to do! It sure does storm here often and very unpredictable.

Later in the evening, the boys wanted to ride their bikes and were pleased to find out that Josh had added lights to all of their bikes! AWESOME! So Josh and I sent the boys on their way and we decided to take a moonlight stroll on the beach. There were several people still enjoying the beach and many were fishing. The next resort over had some beach fireworks going. It was a beautiful scene. So glad we took advantage of this alone time.

Chandler, Colin and Charlie decided to join the Resort after-dark bike and golf cart parade on their bikes. This park is huge so for them to participate in the parade was very tiring but they sure had a blast! They really enjoyed being able to be out at dark. This park is hopping at night. There are so many activities planned. Something for everyone.
